This book at the beginning aimed to provide other alternative view about Islam and women for Indonesian and Western society (planned to be translated to couple languages...hopefully the plan is still there). Exploring about crucial issues on women and Islam from progressive point of view Muslim, to give alternative color of other side of Islam, to compete with mysoginic muslim interpration and to clarify judgmental depiction of Islam in the Western world. So this book hopefully will contribute to bridge better understanding between Islam and the West.
